Carmen G. Loiselle, RN, PhD, FCAHS

Carmen G. Loiselle holds a Ph.D. degree in Nursing and Psychology (Double Major) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. She is Full Professor in the McGill’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology and the Ingram School of Nursing. She holds the Christine and Herschel Victor/Hope & Cope Endowed Chair in Psychosocial Oncology. She is past President of the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (CAPO) and currently serves as Board member of the International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS), the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS) and Hope & Cope. In 2023, Doctor Loiselle and her team received $20 million from Health Canada for the Dialogue McGill initiative to enhance access to health and social services among language minorities as well as promote second language training and retention among health and social service professionals. Doctor Loiselle’s research focuses on the development, testing, and implementation of innovative interventions (including digital health and artificial intelligence) to best support individuals affected by cancer.
