Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF) | Exam Workshops

Members of professional orders must have an appropriate level of French language proficiency in order to practice their profession and are subject to pass the Office québécois de la langue française exam (OQLF).

The OQLF Workshop

The McGill French Language Centre offers a workshop to McGill students designed to prepare healthcare and social services candidates for the OQLF exam.

Health professionals and non-McGill students interested in these workshops should contact Dialogue McGill.

Format

Day 1 - Group session | 2 hours

  • Reading activity | Case study

  • Speaking activity | Group discussion about the case

  • Writing activity | Writing about the case

Day 2 - Individual sessions | 30 minutes

  • Speaking activity | Mock interview

Workshops are offered for groups of 4 to 8 students or candidates of the same profession. All sessions are provided online; attendance is mandatory.

Cost

Free for eligible candidates.

Other Language Activities

Language activities for health and social services professionals are also provided by Dialogue McGill’s partners. These language-based activities allow professionals and students to practice speaking in an informal, relaxed environment.
